Tzu-Hsuan Chen
Tzu-Hsuan Chen, Taiwanese composer based in Copenhagen, Denmark, she enjoys discussing with artists and performers from different fields to find the sound and creativity between ideas and actual implementation. Recently, she continues to compose and actively participates in concerts, festivals, and workshops, such as the Vilnius Electroacoustic Workshop, the Italian Percussion Composition Workshop, the Luxembourg Composition Academy Workshop, the Danish Cross-Fields Art Collaboration Workshop, and the Time Art Studio Composition Workshop in Taiwan, where she is guided by core concepts of creation between new technologies and aesthetic creativity.

She can play the piano, ruan, vocals, trumpet, and organ. Her compositions include Western instruments, Chinese instruments, electronic music, and everyday objects, as well as taking part in performances of her own pieces.

She recently completed her master's degree in composition from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, under the tutelage of Hans Peter Stubbe Teglbjærg, Jeppe Just Christensen, Simon Løffler, Rune Glerup, Chao Ching-Wen, Chen Jie-Ru, etc. In recent years, she has been actively involved in creating and performing her compositions in Denmark, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Luxembourg, and Spain.

In 2023, "Tears for 16 Voices a cappella" was premiered by the Danish Radio Vocal Chamber Orchestra; "Before the Dawn" for chamber sextet, conducted by Jean Thorel, was premiered at the Copenhagen Philharmonic Hall in Denmark; and "Spell" was premiered by the Neko3 Contemporary Chamber Orchestra in the opening concert of the Pulsar Festival in 2022.
